About Fire Rated Rolling Shutters
A fire rated shutter closes an opening in a fire compartment wall. Its job is to hold that line for a stated period so the building's escape and containment strategy still works after a large aperture has been cut through a rated wall.

Galvanised double-wall insulated
The standard construction: galvanised double-wall slats with a silicon insulated strip, in steel guides.
Alarm-linked auto-close
Interface to the fire alarm panel with a battery-backed release, so the shutter closes on alarm at a governed speed. Specified against the building's fire strategy.

FAQ
Questions we are actually asked
- What fire rating do these shutters carry?
- We do not publish a rating against a product name. A rating belongs to a tested assembly — curtain, guides, fixings, motor and release, as installed — and we quote it only against a certificate covering that configuration. Tell us the opening and the required period and we will confirm what can be certified.
- Which standard applies in India?
- IS 3614 is the governing standard for metallic fire check doors, and BS 476 Part 22 and EN 1634-1 are commonly cross-referenced on projects. Where a rating is required, the certificate names the standard it was tested to.
- Does the shutter close automatically in a fire?
- Where the design requires it, yes — via an alarm interface or a fusible link, with controlled descent. The trigger and the behaviour are agreed with the fire strategy.
- Can it be used as a normal shutter day to day?
- Yes. It is operated conventionally in normal use; the fire function is a separate layer that takes priority on alarm.
