About High Speed Cleanroom / Hygiene Door

In a controlled area the door is part of the room, not a fitting in it. This configuration is a sealed rapid-door assembly: a hygienic PVC curtain with a smooth, cleanable surface, running in stainless steel or hygienic-construction guide rails, in a stainless steel or hygienic-coated frame, with side and bottom seals at the perimeter.

Two properties do the work. Sealing, because an opening that merely closes does not maintain a separation between two rooms — the side and bottom seals are what make the closed door mean something. And cleanability, because every surface in a controlled area has to survive the cleaning regime the room owner has set. The assembly is designed for routine cleaning or washdown where that is specified.

The opening sits between two classified or controlled areas: Sealing is the requirement, not speed. Confirm the classification your cleanroom designer has set and we configure the door to suit it.
The area is hosed, foamed or chemically cleaned: Specify stainless steel construction. Hygienic-coated construction suits a lighter regime; the cleaning method decides, not the room label.
The opening is a gowning room or material airlock: An interlocked pair, so both doors are never open at once. Both openings are set out together so the interlock is commissioned as one system.
The room is also below zero: The cold storage configuration is the more specific answer. Hygiene and sub-zero operation are different problems and are solved by different doors.
The opening is in a food area but not classified: The stainless steel configuration of the standard roll-up door may be sufficient and more economical. The washdown regime is what decides.
