A polycarbonate shutter closes the opening with transparent interlocking sections instead of metal slats. The storefront stays a storefront: the display is visible, lit and selling, while the opening is closed.

- How thick are the polycarbonate sections?
- Approximately the 2 to 3 mm class as standard, with a 3 to 5 mm heavier and custom class available. These are reference ranges for the profiles available rather than universal values, and the section is confirmed with the configuration.
- Is a polycarbonate shutter bulletproof or unbreakable?
- No, and we will not describe it that way. It is a transparent security shutter for storefronts. We publish no impact, ballistic or fire performance for it, because no such test data has been supplied to us.
- Will it yellow over time?
- The material is UV stabilised, which is what the UV-resistant specification is for. We do not publish a discolouration figure or a service life, because that depends on the installation and the exposure.
- How large can the opening be?
- Maximum size depends on the selected profile and drive system rather than on a fixed catalogue limit. Give us the opening and we will confirm what is achievable.
